Encounters in Bioethics Webinar - Ethical Decision Making in Palliative Care

The Encounters in Bioethics Program is essential to the Centre for Health Care Ethics’ mission to foster high-quality, ethical health care through research, education, and capacity building.

Eight times a year, Encounters in Bioethics presents discussions and dialogues on ethical issues in health care. The sessions are freely available and are accessible via the Zoom video conferencing platform. Each one-hour-long session usually consists of a guest speaker, a recognized scholar/researcher, a local/regional practitioner, and/or a person with lived experience or a caregiver. The speaker presents a particular topic that highlights current moral issues in bioethics. After the presentation, there is normally an opportunity to discuss the issues with questions and comments from audience members via the Zoom chat feature.

Encounters in Bioethics 2022-2023 offers a free webinar "Ethical Decision Making in Palliative Care" on Thursday, May 25, 2023, 12:00-1:00 p.m. (ET) with presenter Christine W. Pun, MD, CCFP(EM)(PC), FCFP, Emergency and Palliative Care Physician, Health Sciences North, Sudbury, Ontario.
