Whether in government or private industry, project managers face a huge challenge when confronted with continually changing requirements. How can you plan when the things keep changing? Traditional project management approaches suggest that we take a snapshot of the requirements as a baseline, and then use change control in an attempt to minimize the impact of any shifting requirements. Sometimes, however, these changes are a reality that the project sponsor has to accommodate. The new agile project management methods help deal with these situations.

EPID@Work stands for Enhancing the Prevention of Injury and Disability at Work. We are a research institute at Lakehead University located in Thunder Bay, ON. The Ingenuity Ascend Accelerator Program is a great opportunity for entrepreneurial-minded Lakehead University students and alumni looking to transition an idea into a business opportunity or accelerate the growth and development of an early stage start-up.

Ingenuity Workshops consist of a series of workshops, speakers, and competitions that create a thriving community of entrepreneurial thinkers for all current learners and recent graduates (within one year) of Lakehead University. Workshop topics include technology, starting a business, motivation, and success.

Developed in collaboration with the Culinary Tourism Alliance, the Northern Culinary Tourism Experience Development Micro-Credential provides foundational training across seven key industry areas for learners ranging from small business owners to those that support the tourism industry within their community or region. Learners will explore the culinary tourism landscape with a specific emphasis on Northern Ontario and gain a better understanding of the makeup of local foodways.
