EPID@Work stands for Enhancing the Prevention of Injury and Disability at Work. We are a research institute at Lakehead University located in Thunder Bay, ON. We conduct community-driven research in the areas of work-related injury and disability prevention with a particular focus on issues relevant to Northwestern Ontario. The Fitness Test for Ontario Correctional Officer Applicants (FITCO) is an occupational test to assess a person's ability to perform the physical demands of correctional officer work. This is a standardized test developed through the Ministry of the Solicitor General (SOLGEN). Lakehead University's School of Kinesiology offers a testing site with certified administrators and appraisers.
