Specialized Skills for Northern, Rural, and Remote Health
The Specialized Skills for Northern, Rural, and Remote Health program includes three micro-credential courses designed to meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations in Northern Ontario. The micro-credentials—Health Leadership, Mental Health Care, and Perinatal Care—aim to provide healthcare professionals, including nurses, allied health providers, and Indigenous health workers, with the specialized skills necessary for delivering high-quality care in Northern, rural, and remote settings. These courses help bridge the gap between general skills and the specialized expertise required for the distinct healthcare landscape of Northern Ontario.
The Specialized Skills for Northern, Rural, and Remote Health micro-credentials are developed in partnership with organizations across Ontario including:
