Specialized Skills for Northern, Rural, and Remote Health

Description

The Specialized Skills for Northern, Rural, and Remote Health program includes three micro-credential courses designed to meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations in Northern Ontario. The micro-credentials—Health Leadership, Mental Health Care, and Perinatal Care—aim to provide healthcare professionals, including nurses, allied health providers, and Indigenous health workers, with the specialized skills necessary for delivering high-quality care in Northern, rural, and remote settings. These courses help bridge the gap between general skills and the specialized expertise required for the distinct healthcare landscape of Northern Ontario.

The Mental Health Care in Rural and Remote Regions will equip professionals with an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges, opportunities, and strategies for delivering mental health care in rural, remote, and northern settings.
