For Co-operative Education, Part I, each candidate will develop a curriculum, using a Co-operative Education methodology, for implementation in his/her subject of teaching specialization. Principles of negotiating the conditions of satisfactory out-of-school learning experience with other educators, parents, community representatives or work site personnel will be considered. The Dialectical Behavioural Therapy: Calming the Emotional Storm Training Event is a comprehensive 12-hour event that requires full attendance for Lakehead students and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) community members to earn a Certificate of Participation. This training event includes presentation resources and allows Lakehead Social Work students to apply the training hours toward field practicum hours. Learners also have the option to purchase The DBT Workbook for Emotional Relief by Sheri Van Dijk at a discounted rate.
