Lakehead University's School of Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Tourism is excited to present the Ontario Professional Tourism Industry Specialist (OPTIS) and the Northern Ontario Professional Tourism Industry Specialist (NOPTIS) Micro-Credentials, starting October 2024.

Lakehead University's School of Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Tourism presents the Northern Culinary Tourism Experience Development Micro-Credential in partnership with the Culinary Tourism Alliance. This program is aimed at professionals looking to enhance their skills and knowledge in the culinary tourism sector by exploring Northern Ontario's culinary landscape.

Destination Northern Ontario (DNO) is excited to partner with Lakehead University and College Boreal to sponsor several seats in the upcoming Ontario Professional Tourism Industry Specialist (OPTIS)/Northern Ontario Professional Tourism Industry Specialist (NOPTIS) micro-credential Fall 2026 cohort at Lakehead University.

Sponsorships will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and will end once the allotted contribution by DNO has been made.
