Description

The Ontario Master Naturalist Workshops (OMNW) offer a wide variety of topics to broaden your knowledge and expertise of the natural world. Workshop topics include an introduction to all of the species of Ontario dragonflies and damselflies, identifying fish families and species, sedge habitats, mammal tracking, fungi identification, and more.

The Ontario Master Naturalist Workshop series is separate from the Master Naturalist certificate program. Each workshop is offered separately and certificates are not awarded for completion.

Leap into the fascinating world of Liverworts this spring with our Liverworts of Langmans workshop! In this workshop, Bob Bowles, Ontario Master Naturalist Certificate Program Coordinator, will guide learners through the identification of liverworts at the George Langman Sanctuary, a natural area located near Lakehead Orillia. Each learner will receive a copy of a booklet, created by Bob Bowles specially for this workshop, which includes size and other identification details for 24 species of liverworts. Bob will be conducting this workshop with Adam Storey who is an expert on mosses and liverworts.
